Classic car spring trip to East Frisia
from April 25th to May 1st, 2024
Our traditional spring excursion leads north for the first time. Since the journey is a little longer, there is an overnight stay on the way there and back. We spend the remaining nights in the same hotel in East Frisia.

We start in Eltville in the morning and drive through the Westerwald and the Sauerland, as always away from the motorways. We enjoy small towns and the beautiful landscape. Our hotel for the overnight stay on arrival is approximately on the Münster-Paderborn line. If you want, you can of course join us on the way or travel directly to this hotel.
In the morning we drive through the Emsland with the typical moated castles towards Friesland. The Bourtange fortress, directly behind the Dutch border, is particularly worth seeing. We then drive to Leer with its historic harbor, the old town, the Evenburg moated castle and the Leerer Miniaturland. Then we go directly to Aurich in the heart of East Frisia. Here we spend three nights in the same hotel.
We take a short tour through East Frisia to get to know some typical places and sights. Past the "Great Sea" to the harbor in Emden with the museum ships, and further along the coast through picturesque towns such as Rysum and Greetsiel. We pass the north and north dike on the North Sea coast.
Rest day: There is no concrete plan for this day yet. It is possible to book a visit to the island or a boat trip on site (depending on the tide). In any case, there are still some suggestions for things to do in the area. The hotel's wellness area also invites you to relax and unwind.
Our time in East Frisia is slowly coming to an end. The return journey takes us via Papenburg with the famous Meyer Werft. We will also take a tour there. We then drive along the main canal with its open-air shipping museum, past the Clemenswerth hunting lodge to the Teuteburg Forest, where we will spend the last night.
After breakfast together, the tour ends here. As usual, there is still a recommended route via country and federal roads back to the Rhine-Main area. If you want, you can also return home via one of the motorways.
